  1. HAMILTON POOL- Within Zilker Park's 358 acres lies one of the crown jewels of Austin: Barton Springs Pool. The pool itself measures three acres in size, and is fed from underground springs with an average temperature of 68-70 degrees, ideal for year-round swimming.

The Austin Chronicle described Amy's as a "quintessentially Austin institution" which "dominates the local ice cream scene." Amy's ice cream is owned by Amy Simmons. History. Known colloquially as Amy's, Amy's Ice Creams was started by Amy Simmons in 1984. While in Boston, as a premedical major at Tufts University, Amy worked for Steve's Ice Cream. After Steve's Ice Cream was purchased by a larger corporation, Amy decided to go into business for herself.

    3. DISH SOCIETY- Originally from Houston with a new Austin location in Mueller, Dish Society is a farm-to-table all-day eatery that has all of the fresh options you're looking for. Their farm-to-table menu is served seven days a week, serving fresh, locally sourced brunch, lunch, social hour and dinner daily. Take a look at their menu and start deciding what you're going to try first. 

      ENTERTAINMENT

      1. DANCING AT THE BROKEN SPOKE- Considered the “Best Honky-Tonk in Texas” and serving what they say is the state’s best chicken fried steak, there’s no better way to learn to 2-step and enjoy traditional country music than by hitting the dance floor at this historic venue. Broken Spoke is the ideal place to indulge your inner-Texan by learning from the best.

      2. ADVENTURE, ZIP LINING- Lake Travis is Austin’s largest lake, making it a favorite boating destination. Explore one of the many parks surrounding Lake Travis, including Pace Bend Park, known for its limestone cliffs. For an adrenaline rush coupled with an awesome view, Lake Travis Zip Line Adventures offers ziplines (one being the longest in Texas) to whisk you away on an exciting outdoor adventure.

      3. COMEDY, EASTER FOLLIES-Esther's Follies is a modern-day vaudeville theatre located on 6th Street in downtown Austin, Texas. The group is named after actress Esther Williams. Acts incorporate magic, juggling, singing, dancing, and sketches on current events. The show is fast-paced, and most of the acts incorporate a comedic theme.
